Eddie Moore, DVM
Dr. Eddie Moore graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 and immediately began an equine practice at Louisiana Downs and the surrounding training centers. As a mobile practitioner he has served clients in the Arklatex for over thirty years. Dr. Moore’s interests in rural practice lead to the development of Haughton Animal Hospital in 1987.
Dr. Moore is married to Shawn Cason Moore also OSU graduate in Home Economics and they have two children, Roy Cason Moore (LSU-College of Engineering) and Dr. Makensie Moore (LSU-Veterinary Medicine). He is a member of AQHA Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders, LVMA, AVMA, and AAEP as well as Love Chapel United Methodist Church. Special interests in practice include equine reproduction, herd health, lameness, cattle and small ruminant medicine and surgery.
