Rick J. Wolfe, DVM
Raised in Western Oklahoma, Dr. Wolfe is a graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has decades of experience in racetrack practice at Louisiana Downs, Oaklawn Park at Hot Springs, Ark and various other racetracks. Early in his career, he practiced at Penn National Racecourse and Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania. Dr. Wolfe currently treats horses of all types as well as cattle, and small ruminants here at Haughton Animal Hospital. He is a commercial pilot still active in aviation.
Dr. Wolfe and his wife Monica are full-time grandparents to their 7 grandchildren and still counting. They maintain a small farm in the Haughton, LA area raising cattle and an assortment of other animals and are highly involved in several Christian Ministries in the area. In their free time Dr. Wolfe and his wife are accomplished ballroom dancers and they participate in many venues in the area including fund raising events and exhibitions at many nursing homes and retirement centers.
