Lameness Evaluation
A large part of our practice includes high performance racehorses, barrel horses, roping horses, cutting, reining, dressage and jumpers. The doctors here at Haughton Animal Hospital use their decades of experience from working at Louisiana Downs, Oaklawn Park, and other racetracks to routinely conduct lameness exams.
Our lameness exams may involve palpating and observing the horse’s movement to using other diagnostics such as nerve blocks, ultrasound, and digital radiography. Through our experience, we take pride in working with you and your horse to develop the best treatment protocol to get your horse back to optimal performance.
